Samba / Nfs

I have an NT box that has used NFS (Hummingbird) to make connections to a number of shares on an Unix box. I have now installed Samba on the UNIX box, but I can not connect to the samba shares on this UnIX box. I can however connect to this share from another NT box which has never had Hummingbird installed. Does anyone know why. Is it possible that Hummingbird and samba can not co-exist?

Thanks
Milton
