Samba Networking with Windows XP (Help me cut the cord)

I am trying to cut the cord with Windowz XP and I am trying to utilize Samba to connect to a share on my other PC that has my backup files on it.

Here is the setup:
Windows XP install is on the MSHOME network with a comp name of COMP02. It has the local ip of 192.168.1.3. It has a share called SharedDocs.

Suse Linux 8.2 install is connected to the same Router and has a local IP of 192.168.1.2

I was using Ximian Desktop 2 (which caused some wicked problems with the default Suse install) and that had a graphical connection (using samba) to the share. Very easy to connect to. Since I reinstalled Linux (for the third time) I will not be installing Ximian again so I need to know how to map the drive share or how to copy the directories via the terminal.

I am newbie so please be kind! I used Mac for 9 years and then switched to Windows in 1999. I have no knowledge of DOS and I am very new to using the terminal (ls and whoami are my only commands so far).

Any help would be appreciated!!

Thanks.

Open YAST2 and hit "Install and Remove Software" after the module loads, then use the pulldown to the left to select "Search". Enter "samba" in the search field, then select "samba" and "samba-client" and additionally the doc files if you like. Then go your run level editor and add samba to the run levels you require.

Then look at that post I suggested earlier!
