Samba installation and configuration


Hi everyone,
im running suse linux pro 9.1 on my desktop. I would like to share all my files in linux with my other windows desktops. is there an easy way to do this and is there good step by step documentation online that I can use for a samba newbie?

There also should be a file called: smb.conf.sample or something similiar in your samba folder. This has a lot of info on how to configure it.

Not sure in SUSE but you might try connecting to http://localhost:901 with a web browser, that is the default port for SWAT a GUI to configure samba.

Also www.webmin.com has a couple really good modules for configuring samba.
