Samba getting very screwed?
My Samba server seems to be acting very messed up recently. Logging into a share from itself i get:
[root@simon chris]# smbclient -L simon
SSL: Error error setting CA cert locations: error:00000000:lib(0):func(0):reason
(0)
trying default locations.
added interface ............ etc...
it's then very very slow to log in. From win9x machines I can't even find the machine now. I've reinstalled the netwrok drviers etc.. but these may have got messed up again i'll concede... all the same i am getting
[2001/09/11 15:13:02, 1] smbd/reply.c:reply_sesssetup_and_X(927)
Rejecting user 'chris': authentication failed
in my log files, even though i'm 100% sure the passwords are fine, and 've not changed anythign since it was proeviosuly working perfectly well...
I'm running 2.0.7 at the moment... should i upgrade to 2.2.1 is it? i think that's out... i guess the ssl updates might help too?
