Samba Errors from Log -- LAN unstable
I have posted before about a problem with Linux and Win2k computers "talking" thru Samba. The connection frequently fails and then one or both systems freeze and must be restarted. There is a log in /var/log/samba/ for each host on my LAN. Here is what the log for the Linux host says:
[2004/05/16 21:39:09, 0] lib/util_sock.c:read_data(436) read_data: read failure for 4. Error = Connection reset by peer [2004/05/19 18:11:00, 0] smbd/process.c:switch_message(662) Non-SMB packet of length 61. Terminating server [2004/05/19 18:11:01, 0] smbd/process.c:switch_message(662) Non-SMB packet of length 61. Terminating server And here is the log for the Win2K host: [2004/05/16 22:07:02, 0] lib/util_sock.c:read_data(436) read_data: read failure for 4.
