Samba down since WinXP SP2 update

Since updating my WindowsXP desktop (desk) and wireless laptop (lap) to SP2, i am having trouble accessing my samba shares (linux).

All machines have internet connectivity.

Linux doesn't show up in neighborhood network. (All are under the same group name).

The shares mapped as network drives are still accessible from Desk but the not from Lap.

i figured it was something in the new SP2 firewall settings but i've turned that off and still nothing.

Linux is still at the same router assigned IP, i can pull up my VNC control to Linux just fine.

Any ideas where to keep looking?

Try creating another account as probably the "guest" account that it previously used was removed by the security update.
