Angry Samba and Archivbit

H there,

i have a problem with all my samba installations, and i can't find a solution in google.

if i create a excel file in a samba share with a windows workstation the archiv attribute is set. if i drop this attribute manual and change the file and save it. The Archivbit is set again because of the filechange.

if i do the same with a word document or a Photoshop file, the archiv bit will not be set again after the chance.

but if i do it on a Microsoft server share, it works fine.

what can i do ? because the backup doesn't work correct at the moment.

Tanks for help

bye
eazy
