Samba AD Authentication Lost


Hi Guys

My Debain server died this morning due to a power failure i have not rebooted but my AD users cannot authenticate to the Samba File Shares

Below is the config file, Could really do with help asap as our producation is now on stop

Hi Guys

i am now getting this error when trying to join the domain
[2009/02/20 18:21:36, 0] lib/smbldap.c:smb_ldap_start_tls(598)
Failed to issue the StartTLS instruction: Server is unavailable
Failed to join domain: failed to connect to AD: Server is unavailable

Who is trying to join the domain? Is the Samba server running or not? You said you did not reboot it. Anyway, Samba servers cannot do AD authentication AFAIK. You must have a Windows server somewhere if you are using Active Directory. Samba servers can participate in AD, but cannot be AD servers. So maybe your problem is elsewhere.
