Samba 3 domain member or W2k Active Directory Navtive Mode
I've successfully made my mandrake 10 box join a Windows 2k domain "Native Mode" with Kerberos/LDAP.
My problem now is that since my Mandrake box is native member of my Active Directory Domain how do I create the shares on the Mandrake box to use it as a file server. I know in the past I had to edit the smb.conf directly on the linux box but now can I do this all from the windows server side and grant permissions to my windows users? using mmc tools ??? used Samba 3.0.2 with Mandrake 10 No patches ************************ Test performed to validate functionality with Active Directory [root@drake10 pam.d]# wbinfo -g LINUX+Domain Computers LINUX+Domain Controllers LINUX+Schema Admins LINUX+Enterprise Admins LINUX+Cert Publishers LINUX+Domain Admins LINUX+Domain Users LINUX+Domain Guests LINUX+Group Policy Creator Owners LINUX+DnsUpdateProxy [root@drake10 pam.d]# wbinfo -u LINUX+Administrator LINUX+Guest LINUX+TsInternetUser LINUX+krbtgt LINUX+HOST/drake10 LINUX+STANG$ Thanks Tim |
