Samba 3 and windows clients

I have succesfully used samab 2 during more than 3 years. But finnally I decided to upgrade to samba 3 and try to solve the problems I had experienced before. But I have found a weird behaviour I cant solve: some clients cant access the user home folders. samba accepts the user authentication but only shows a public shared folder. This happens with only 2 PCs, Win2k, sp 4. There are almost 30 PCs with the same configuration accessing without problems to home folders and also Win98/XP clients that also access the home folders perfectly.
Can somebody give me an idea about whats happening?

With only the two PC's? Sounds strange. What's your smb.conf file look like for the [homes] share?

This is the homes share:
[homes]
comment = Home directories
browseable = no
writable = yes

Other options concerning this are security = user and encrypt passwords= no. For each client a run the corresponding registry file to send plain passwords.
