Samba 3 and windows clients
I have succesfully used samab 2 during more than 3 years. But finnally I decided to upgrade to samba 3 and try to solve the problems I had experienced before. But I have found a weird behaviour I cant solve: some clients cant access the user home folders. samba accepts the user authentication but only shows a public shared folder. This happens with only 2 PCs, Win2k, sp 4. There are almost 30 PCs with the same configuration accessing without problems to home folders and also Win98/XP clients that also access the home folders perfectly.
Can somebody give me an idea about whats happening? |
With only the two PC's? Sounds strange. What's your smb.conf file look like for the [homes] share?

This is the homes share:
[homes] comment = Home directories browseable = no writable = yes Other options concerning this are security = user and encrypt passwords= no. For each client a run the corresponding registry file to send plain passwords. |
