Unhappy Samba 3.0.0 installed on RH WS3, but "net join" command not found

I have RedHat WS3 installed, with Samba 3.0.0 on it. I know the service is installed because I can run /etc/rc.d/init.d/smb start and I get the "OK" messages for SMB and NMB services. Yet, when I try to use the "net join" command to join a Windows domain, I get the error: "bash: net: command not found". I ran into this when trying to follow some instructions I found on the Web for joining a Linux box to a domain. I tried to use "smbpasswd -j <domain_name> -U<Domain Admin User> -r <Domain Controller>", but got an error telling me to use "net join" instead. Can anyone help me figure out why the net command doesn't exist on my machine? I am getting frustrated and would really appreciate help from this forum.
