RTNETLINK answers : Network is unreachable

Hii All,

i was trying for ip-forwarding in VMWARE by making three RHEL 5 machine.
for that i assume a pc as router and add a additional NIC, and given different network ip address to both NIC.

it was not working, but one more problem arised now....

when i am doing service network restart..

Shutting Down interface eth0 [ok]
Shutting Down interface eth1 [ok]
Bringing up interface eth0 : RTNETLINK answers :network unreachable [ok]
Bringing up interface eth1 [ok]

I almost got solution for my last question here by our great member who replied my last question, but this problem is restricting to ping from one pc to other(ip forwarding).

i deleted eth1 and tried normally as i always do, but RTNELINK.. still persist...

any help will be appreciable...

Thanks & Regard
