RTL8019(AS) in Redhat 7.2 showing no activity

Our company has developed a new system with Digital Logic processor.

I have installed Red Hat 7.2 [Kernel 2.4.7-10] on it.
The network chip is RTL80190(AS) [ISA based]

Red hat is able to identify the device and configure it but my RTL card is
not showing any sign of activity.

The driver used - ne
IRQ - 5
IO - 0x220 [for pnp]

When I type ifconfig it shows the ipaddress configured, the MAC address of the card but on RX of eth0 its showing error count.
No packets are getting recieved

The module has been inserted properly.I tried lsmod and lsdev.
But no packets are coming out of the card.

I tried the same card on windows and its working properly.

Note:I`ve also tried with the card configured in jumperless mode.

Any help on your part will be extremely helpful.

Actually the network card gets detected without a problem.
When I typed

modprobe ne

The module got inserted and interrupt is alsom getting generated.

But its not transmitting any packets.

When I typed dmesg it shows

eth0 bogus packet size:2056 status=oXX nxpg=0XX

continously.

[Will BIOS play any role in this?]

Thanks in advance
