rsh server

we have a suse 8.0 server that needs rsh enabled. I can 'rsh -l root 192.168.x.x' to the server, and it prompts for password, all is well in an ssh. But when I do try to run a command ('rsh -l root 192.168.x.x ls'), it hangs. I'm assuming it needs a password for 'root'. Can I pass this as a cmd-line argument?

sorry, it's actually another problem. I'm trying to use Webmin to setup RSH, and I thought it was working, but apparently is not working at all. What is the RSH config file, and what do I need to concentrate on to have our IBM RISC box to send a 'sendfax' command to the Suse 8.0 box?
