Routing web traffic to different IP?

I am a newbie with 2 servers:
Server A: Lots of current webtraffic, Linux ES3, Plesk 8, running 4-6 domains or so.
Server B: Brand spanking new (actually not even purchased yet), but will be in a different location than server A.

I would like to perform some updates on Server A and was wondering if I could use server B to send incoming traffic while the updates occur. I may like to do this periodically in the future incase a problem or more updates arise.

Copying the files isn't bad because only a handful are needed. The main thing is that I don't know how to divert the traffic to server B. Or even how to set up Server B so that it will work just like server A.

How can I accomplish this?
Go easy, I know very little about Linux or IP stuff.
Thanks
John

You would access the router settings and point it to the other PC's IP

Router? No idea how to do that... any hints? The server is a dedicated server with Hostway so I don't think I have access to a router... just the server itself I think.

Then your server will have to be your router, enable IP forwarding and use the iptables DNAT and SNAT/MASQUERADE targets.

Why not just change the DNS entry to point to the other server?
