Unhappy routing problem

I have TWO Mandrake servers, private lan
Each server has a Fixed External IP and each server can route to the internet and the internal network without problems.

I also have Workstations, connected to one Server to route traffic to the Internet.

From the workstations, a request to <domain-name> correctly routes via the LAN to the first server.

If I try request to the second server via <domain-name> it routes OUT of the first ADSL to the Internet, then into the second ADSL to the second server, and I have tried ROUTE, and MASQ to route via the LAN without success.

Please, I know you guru's will think I am a complete donkey (ok, I admit it!) but I really need some assistance!

Workstations route to the Internet via Server 2, and server 2 routes via ADSL 1

When the workstation want to talk to server 1, server 2 ALWAYS routes the traffic EXTERNAL, NOT Internal

Thank you !

look into dig. sounds like the resolver is asking DNS for the address and getting it.
perhaps you can set a route with "route"
