routing on suse via proxy

Hi all ..... and big greetings ..

Am trying to make my suse 10.0 server as a router to distribute internet via it .... taking in consideration that I have a dhcp server on it ... so I take internet on eth0 ethernet with ip address via dhcp and I want to distribute my internet and my dhcp on my LAN via my internal eth0 ethernet .... noting that the internet I get on the external ethernet is with proxy ....

Any one got a glue and I would be very thankful ....

what do you mean "external ethernet is with proxy"? if you're running squid on this machine, then you are not routing anything, just proxying it...

If ur proxying let the interface connecting to the external network(internet) be the external interface and the interface having the LAN address be the internal. Specify that on the SuSefirewall. then the local machines' browsers have to point to this proxy on squid port (3128 default squid port). All the best

Thank alot ... but for networking porposes I've already dissabled the firewall ... so I shoulden't get any ports problems ... but I still don't know how to let the suse route the internet to the internal LAN ..... any ideas ???

are you proxying or routing? the two are massively different...
