Route Settings

Hi All

I have a linux server with 2 network cards

Card 1 - 10.10.1.4 eth0 (Internal Network)(Subnet 255.255.255.224)
Card 2 - 10.10.1.2 eth1 (Router - External Network)(Subnet 255.0.0.0)

Can anybody assist me as to how I could setup the route table?

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

You're going to have a lot of fun doing it that way..

Best you read the http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/Adv-Routing-HOWTO/ particularly chapters 4 & 5 and get the split routing working.

The main problem will be getting the server to reply on the correct interace, and then deciding which interface to use as a default outward for packets it generates itself, emails, dns etc..

Any packet routed through the box will have a headache coz there are similar subnets on each side..
