Unhappy route add net


use Linux for firewall
with Red Hat 7.0 I want to delete old routing and enable
new route add -net

Exactly what are you tring to change? You don't normally want to delete the *entire* routing table.

If you want to remove a route from your routing table this is the format, IPs will be different

route del -net 192.168.5.0 netmask 255.255.255.0 eth0

Notice you remove it from specific network cards.

I remove routing tables with
route del -net 192.168.5.0 netmask 255.255.255.224 eth0
but when rebooting the PC there are all routing tables delete
before .

hi,

for what i see you want to make routes persistent through restart right?

just edit the file /etc/sysconfig/static-routes and add the routes you wish.
the format is similar to route command:

ex:

eth0 net 192.168.10.0 netmask 255.255.255.0 gw 192.168.10.253
