Unhappy Rogers@Home Service

:smash:

Can someone please tell me how to configure Red Hat 7.2 to use Rogers Cable connection? I have to use DHCP, but I don't see an option in the GUI to set a Network ID. I don't have a user name or pass. All I have is a Network ID number (ie: crxxxxxxx-a).

I'm kind of new to Linux, I'm currently taking an LPI 101 course in school, but I need some connectivity for homework. Thanks in advance to all who help.

Finally dicovered Rogers Domain Name....

it is..... CRE.cable.home.rogers.com

I got my interent working by using this
dhcpcd -h CRE.cable.home.rogers.com -I crxxxxxx-a eth0 (x being your personal cr number).

This was a pain as the newest version of Caldera doesn't have DHCPCD, as a matter of fact, it doesn't even install a c compiler by default. If anyone knows what would cause red hat 7.2 to be unable to boot into the GUI, let me know. For some reason, I don't think it like my video card. I'm using a Hercules 3D Prophet 4500 (AGP). It tries to open the GUI 3 or 4 times, hen says (unable to open GUI, Disabling for 5 minutes) So I dunno. any ideas?
