Question Roaring Linux PPPOE

g'day

i was trying out Kororaa's live cd and it has roaring linux as the only form of internet connectivity for pppoe connections. ive gone over the setup several times with sh pppoe-setup but the moment i try to start it ( sh pppoe-start ) it gives me the error :
Quote:
pppoe-start: line 153: syntax error near unexpected token '('
pppoe-start: line 153: ' $CONNECT <(echo "$CONFREAD")'
any clue what it means and how to go around it ?

thanx
