rh9 dns and w2k3 active directory

Hello all I have been trying to play with my rh9 dns server to allow a connetion to my w2k3 domain controller. I have managed to screw things up to say the least. I use my linux for dns querys and as my gateway. I want it to be my primary dns but need it to point to my domain controller to allow pcs to join the domain, login and so forth. So I have two questions. Obviously I am very green regarding dns. What changes do i need to make to named.conf and so forth to allow it to point to my domain controller. And B since I tried changing things around I was able to get it to point to my domain controller but I think the two dns srvs were just looking back and forth for resolution and not looking to the net. So I put everything back the way it was. Including the changes I made to resolve.conf, named.conf and the .db files. But when I try to stop the server it wont let me. Oddly enough I can run nslookup from the lnx box and it works. But cant resolve from any other pcs using it as the pri dns.
Any thoughts would be appritiated.

Thanks

Ok I have figured out what was wrong with name srver. And I have figured out that the reason my ssh server stopped working after the reboot was because my firewall information changed. It basically flipped. My trusted zone became my untrusted and vice versa. After shutting down my network I started looking in the logs I which reminded me that I ran many updates on the 13th and they must have taken effect during the reboot. Well because my network is a little screwy and I want eth1 to be the untrust and eth0 to be the trust. This is obviously not the norm. I am trying to figure out which update would have changed this. Is there a way to revert back to before the updates. Or any ideas as to which updates may have changed this. It was all the most recent updates for redhat9
Any thoughts are more than appreciated.
Thanks

I was able to figure out why the dns server wouldn't start. But I am still lost trying to get the dns to send my request to the w2k3 domain contoller. any thoughts? Is this even possible? Do I need to have more than one domain?
