Resolving IP for an external LAN host

Hi

I have the IP addresses of the nameservers for the LAN which I want to access from home. Using "host -l domainname nameserver" I get all the mailservers (provided on the ISP's network) plus the router which is located on site at the LAN - it links the DSL line to a firewall.

I can't however resolve specific hostnames other than the router, because the nameserver for the LAN is internal (also running DHCP). I think this is because the ISP only allows like 5 or so IP addresses, so the network was set up to bypass this limitation using DNS with a class C subnet mask. Hosts accessed from inside the LAN have a .co.uk suffix while the router is .net.

How can I access this nameserver from my PC at home or otherwise resolve the addresses of hosts on the LAN? The router does not accept access on port 80 so I have no idea how to query it or access any hosts on the LAN.

To resolve local adresses, there must be a redirection (of ports or IPs). You need to ask people who build this network. If there's no redirection, you can't access the local network.
