Question removing vsftpd...


've been trying to get vsftpd working for three days now, and no luck. everytime i get new connection errors.

- is there a way i can remove vsftpd from my system and install proftpd instead?

TIA
I'm using FC4.

If you installed it from an rpm:
rpm -e vsftpd

it came with the installation of FC4.

Try this:

yum remove vsftpd

i've tried that, yum doesn'f find the package.

i think i got rid of it, in gnome i went to system settings and add/remove applications. i selected vsftpd and then update. it seemed to do the trick.
