Remothe Shell


I have a web hosting package with a shell access how can i access it from my computer

Probably via telnet or ssh. Some providers have java applets in webpages. I would be surprised if your host didn't have help page son this. Who is your provider?

is hosting365.ie and they have no help pages on anything i can't even connect with ftp they said that i have to connect with active instead of passive but it doesn't work either

You could try connecting to the domain name of what you are hosting there. i.e. ssh username@domain.com

i got it working now but i still can't log on trough the ftp
