Remote IP reoprting

I was wondering if there was a way to use the DynDns feature of a Dlink DI-524 wrieless router to report a public IP to another server other that using the DynDns service?

I have to fix my mother in-law's PC once in awhile and I live about an hour away. If I could get her public IP from the DI-524 router she uses I could remote desktop in.

any thoughts would be awesome.

Since dyndns is linked to a domainname
foo.mine.nu or simular, you only need to know the domainname.
