Remote Desktop Solution
 

Hello,

I want to setup a linux machine (initially using VMware) which I can log into from anywhere. I want to have access to desktop + apps, so I'm going to use kubuntu so it's all there already. So I have a few questions:

1. Has anyone tried anything similar?
2. Better distro to use than kubuntu?
3. Which app to use to remote connect?

similar...? what is special about what you're doing? you're just running linux and connect remotely... and that's it...? :confused:

distro... anything you like will be fine...

connectivity... freenx is a very nice architecture and will work with just ssh access to the box. outside of that, just use vnc.

OK the question didn't come across right but thanks for the NX suggestion, I'll have a look at that.
