Remote connect to network through speedtouch ADSL

Hi every body
I have a home network with win XP and Linux boxes + adsl speedtouch 510 connected to the same hub
I am doing some preparations to connect to this network remotely I added one of the machines that was having an apache server to be thr default server and went to showip.com to see what is the ip by which I am connected to the internet
I pinged the Ip and found that I was routed to the internal machine
But when I try to connect to that apache server using mozilla I get operation time out
any suggestions

You should configure your webserver to have a static IP address if not already so and then configure the modem to foward port 80 to the webserver.

Mike
I have 2 addresse on my nic one from DHCP and one is static neither of them responds
I amde a test
when I port scan the router it notifies me that port 80 is open (Router web interface) but when I configure it to route to another host and start port scanning i find no open ports although I am sure that port 80 and 21 are open
is there anything to do for the router ?
it is speedtouch 510 V.4.2

Check the webserver to see if its firewall is active.
