Remote administration via telnet & serial terminal

Hi,

I have an idea, but don't know how to go about doing it.

I would like to administer my server by telneting to a different machine then from there start a terminal session program to connect to my server via serial port and get to the console so I can halt it for example then still be able to boot it...

Has this been implemented before...Is there a freeware out there that does this

Thanks,.
