reject simultaneous connection

Hi,

I have a TCP stack (Linux 2.6.5-1.358 fedora 2).I want to reject when the number of simultaneous connections exceeds the registered threshold in the link layer itself and pass it to the upper layers. Can I have to maintain some arrays for these or is any inbuild stufs are there ?

thanks in advance.

rgds,
Shashi
