regarding Returned mail


Dear all

User1 get the following error message when he sent the mail to user2@example.com (user2@X1mailserver).

The original message was received at Fri, 4 Nov 2005 16:35:48 +0530 from [192.168.2.123]

----- The following addresses had permanent fatal errors ----- user2@X1mailserver
(reason: 552 5.2.3 Message size exceeds fixed maximum message size
(5000000))
(expanded from: <user2@example.com>)

... while talking to chnmail.tatainfotech.com.:

in sendmail.cf file, MaxMessageSize=12000000.

What couldbe the problem?...Kindly help me, if you have any info.

It looks like the user included an attachment that exceeded the maximum message size, which appears to be 5Mg. Change the format of the Email to plain text, drop any attachments, and you should be fine
