RedHat Linux 7.2 to join Unix

How do I get my RedHat Linux 7.2 machine to join a Unix YP NIS Domain?

1. Your server should allow you to do it
( Make sure securenet setting in the server is fine )

2. Add this line to /etc/yp.conf

domain your.nis.domain server your.nis.server

3. Expecting your network settings are fine, do
/etc/init.d/ypbind restart

4. Just as a test try ypwhich and ypcat passwd
