RedHat gateway setup troubles

Hi!

I still didn't resolve my gateway problem. I have RedHat8 on an old computer with three ethernet cards, eth0-2 and ADSL internet access. eth0 is used to connect RH to ADSL. My ADSL provider usually provides me different IP for every connection I make.
So far I came to the point, where I can ping computers on the internet and also computers on my local network though only by their IP numbers (DHCP provides IP to them), but I can't ping or browse internet from computers connected to eth1 and eth2. I can't find what is wrong?
And yet another thing; the best situation is if in ifcfg-eth0 is line
BOOTPROTO=dhcp
although on startup it is searching for DHCP which never gets...

Best regards

have you set up ip masquarading? personally i'd suggest using a front end such as firestarter to both a) enable connection sharing and b) create a firewall. two for the price of one.. can't be bad...

Hi,
I will try firestarter. Can You give me URL, so I won't bother googling...
Anyway, in ADSL setup I checked masquerade and also in ifcfg-ppp0 ther is line FIREWALL=MASQUERADE (I think it goes like this, I am not close to my RH box).
Thanks for Your post!

Hi!
I have found firestarter but unfortunatelly I can't use it since I don't have Gnome or KDE there (and I do not need them!).
And the question still remains: from RH box I can ping to anywhere but not from WinXP comps. From them I can ping my Linux box, even IP on eth0 and that's maximum.
I tried also various IPTables scripts but none gaves me access to the internet from Win XP computers. Any ideas?
