redhat 7.2 as a client for ICS

Hi there all, Okee here goes,....I have a win me machine that has internet connection sharing installed and has broadband connection which it receives through a i have a machine with redhat 7.2 installed and would like it to be a client from the sharing computer...I previously had win98se installed on this machine and setup as a client so the dual network cards and settings are working properly in the host machine...any help anybody can give would be appreciated!! thanks!!

maybe iam out of touch with the world but what is this ICS ?

What service are u trying to access from ur linux box as client and win machine as the server ?

hi there sorry for the jargon there!! ICS , internet connection sharing....on my Windows Me machine i have it setup on and have it connected to my linux machine with a second network card and crossover cable.. just dont know what I need to to as far as settings on the linux machine...

this is my first experience with linux so I am a true "newbie"!

I have seen many posts about the same problem I am having but none able to answer my problem...
Any help u can give is greatly appreciated!

First of all, ICS on any Win 9x box (especially WinMe) is awful!!

If you know that ICS is configured properly, you can probably set up the Linux machine as a DHCP client. Otherwise, try giving it a address (e.g and try pinging the Winbox. If that works, put the IP address of your internal windows NIC as the gateway (probably
