Question Redhat 7.2 and XDMCP

We have a requirement to get a remote X connection from a PC to a Redhat 7.2 box from the internet. The Linux box will be behind a Cisco router running firewall and NAT.

Firstly how do I set up XDMCP on Redhat 7.2 we had it working on 7.1 but now it doesn't after the upgrade.

Secondly is this the best and most secure way to connect from a remote site over the Internet. Any suggestions on how to connect to get a remote X logon.

Cheers

Pete

http://www.icewalk.com/doclib/howto...dure.html#AEN35

Take a look at this link and follow it step by step and make sure every thing you have is setup the same and it should work.

My problem with this HowTo had nothing to do with RH7.2 it was because when I upgraded from 7.1 I had gnome as my defualt xdm, which is what this HowTo uses. When I upgraded I desided to try KDE, which uses kdm. So if you want to use this HowTo make sure to have gnome as your defualt
