Unhappy RedHat 7.1 and BIND 9.1 Woes

I have been dealing with this particular issue for awhile now and just cannot seem to get BIND 9.1 working properly. I have gone through all the files named.conf and the zone files. The named comes up with only one error message "Nov 30 04:12:30 localhost named[21319]: no IPv6 interfaces found" . I can use dig, etc. locally on the box without a problem, the DNS server is registered. So the problem is when I try a DNS traversal, the server returns a connection refused. No firewall software is up currently, I check netstat and it appears to be listening on 53.

I am a newbie to the Linux World, but an old dog in Solaris.

If anyone could provide any thoughts? Much apreciated

IPV6

Are you actually using an IPV6 interface? Most would be using a V4 type interface. I do not know much about the IPV6 implementations but I know they are quite different. Try looking in the man pages about Bind and IPV6 and V4 and see what is there that might help you.
