Red Hat 9.0 NetGear FA311 Nic Problem!

Okay well finally after a week I have Red Hat 9.0 installed but to my dismay my NIC is not working. I bought this specific NIC because it was "supposed" to work with linux no problem but found the drivers included were up to Red Hat 7.0. Now I am a newbie to linux I have to admit. I tried it around Red Hat 5.0 and could only stay connected for a few minutes at a time and the display sucked. That's what I get for having a generic monitor and and winmodem. I am getting the hang of it pretty quickly as far as most things go but can't get this darn NIC to work. I have searched for days now and came upon this forum and saw several articles on this but they did not help with my problem that much. If anyone has the patients to help it would be much appreciated.

I am getting a failed error on bringing up eth0 interface everything else is OK
No blinking lights
I am using the natsemi driver for this product
Network Configuration is set to obtain IP from DHCP
I have my own router so getting an IP address should be no problem once the NIC is initialized.
I have tried changing the IRQ in netconfig but have had no luck so far getting it to initialize I keep getting a failed message

Okay well now this message is being posted from my linux box. I got the card to initialize. Wasn't a driver problem at all everything was working fine it just didn't like the DHCP options. Statically assigned the IP and DNS info and she started right up. Of course this is after buying a new 3 com NIC as well but hey you can never have to many NIC cards.
