Red Hat 8.0 & problems with uw-imap
 

I am running Red Hat 8.0 and sendmail/uw-imap. When ever I delete emails on my windows workstation it just puts a line through the message and it doesn't get erased. Is there any way that I can fix this problem? Thanks

Sounds to me like you are marking the messages as deleted but not expunging your mail box. This is a problem with how you're using your Windows mail reader, not server side.

Yea. It is a problem with my windows side. I got web based email client running it deletes the email's fine. How can I set it to delete the emails instead of just marking them for deletion? I am useing outlook express and outlook. Thanks for the help

Doesn't Outlook have an expunge or purge button somewhere? I'm a Pine user myself when I'm on Windows so can't be much help.
