realtek 8029 failing

I have RH8 & realtek 8029 card

the system recognized it and installed it after the first boot.

but i keep getting this msg:

ne device does not seem to be present

when i type lsmod i get nothing as far as the Ethernet card

i tried changing ne to ne2k-pci but couldn't get to work....

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanx
