Re-activating Network Devices on FC2

Hello!

I am maintinging a computer running FC2 and i need to reactive eth1 from time to time. I am used to gentoo, but it does not seem to be the same way around on FC2. The redhat network utility does not allow a normal user to deactivate and/or activate eth0 or eth1. Isn't there anything similar the rc-scripts (gentoo) on Fedora?

Cheers,
Benne

in redhat fc2 you go to start menu and i think it's is called system settings in English. Then choose network where you can activate and deactivate your cards-

How can I do that from textline. The GUI tool does not allow me to use itself if I dont log in as root, witch is (as we all know) stupid.

Cant I do it like I do in gentoo;
Code:
/etc/init.d/net.eth1 restart
The connection is linked to a RC Script in gentoo witch makes it much more easier to use.

Cheers,
Benne
