I am running Fedora 9 and I need to be able to discover routers on my subnet( that is what the rdisc service does) because I work with routers as part of my job.

Does anyone know how to get the rdisc service to start?it is switched on in chkconfig, but when I run service rdisc restart,It fails.

How about posting some error messages, or something from the log? Saying "it fails", doesn't give alot of information.

this is what happens when I run it form the terminal
[root@localhost ~]# service rdisc restart
Shutting down router discovery services: [FAILED]
Starting router discovery: [FAILED]
[root@localhost ~]#
And in which log file will this be?i can't seem to find it.
