rdesktop with SuSE 9.0
Hi, I was wondering if anyone can help me. I'm running SuSE 9.0 Professional and I love it, but it doesn't come with rdesktop like Red Hat distros do. I want to be able to connect to my Windows 2003 Server using rdesktop. I know I can use VNC but the screen refreshes are so slow with it, it drives me nuts. SuSE comes with "Remote Desktop Connection", a GUI app that works with VNC but apparently not with Windows terminal services.
I know I can get the source from rdesktop.org, but compiling sucks, every time I try to do it something craps out on me and I don't know how to fix it. Does anyone know a location for some binaries for rdesktop I can use? Thanks! |
Welcome to LQ.
Compiling from source isn't usually a problem if you have a compiler and the required libraries installed. You should be able to get an rpm though: http://www.google.com/search?q=rdesk...utf-8&oe=utf-8 |
Wow...I can't believe I didn't think of Google. Or at least, I must not have been searching on the right keywords. Thanks for your help, I found an rdesktop rpm that installed with no problems.
