A Sorted

I got them talking and sending to each other what i did was changed these these this and it when and did it woo hoo

#auth users = root
#auth users = superman
#secret file = /etc/rsync.secrets
motd = /etc/motd
max connections = 25
syslog facility = local3
[mail]
path = /var/CommuniGate/
comment = /var/CommuniGate
read only = no
list = yes
uid = nobody
gid = nobody
#host allow =192.168.1.


Just did it as anoyed i could not get the password lol

They are talking fully i am soooooo happy now woo hoo

Great job. You actually did it on your own coz i didnt told you how to set it up for anonymous access.

Talk about taking the long route...

rsync --rsh=ssh <SOURCE> <USER>@<HOST>:<DEST>

Then just have a ssh trust relationship established between the sending user and the receiving user and you're done.

That way you don't have to run rsync in daemon mode and have another open, listening socket.

It also forces security.

"I will give that a try also what do you put in the conf file to set a time for the back up to automaticaly run all the time save having to always hand run it. I have looked around a wee bit but cant find it. Cheers" just changed this posting... going to try and set up a cron with it any help would be cool cheers
