rc.inet1

I have trouble to assign my ip adress with rc.inet1... When my box boot, I get error msg: "You ethernet card was not correctly configurated bla bla... Maybe you dont have a kernel supporting your card or maybe you don't have an ethernet card bla bla..." I don't know what's the trouble I try lots of things.... I can do all my config with ifconfig but I find it boring to have network config in my rc.local it's stupid....

Any tips for me?

is your nic uncommented in rc.modules? ie; /sbin/modprobe tulip

What kind of card is it?

Yeah it's uncommented. Im using modules via-rhine (and it's work i'm here hehehe). My card is a d-link 131 txt or something like this.
Very common one.
