RAS server

I have installed a 2 port RAS in my network . I have given 192.168.20.80 ip to the RAS and 192.168.20.81 & 82 to the 2 ports of the RAS.
Now i can log into my 192.168.20.0 network thru the RAS but when i try to connect the internet (the whole 192.168.20.0 has teh gateway 192.168.20.1 a linux redhat 8.0 server) it resolves the DNS from the local DNS(192.168.20.1) but cannot get the page . It says CONNECTING and after some time times out from the 192.168.20.81 (connected by PPP). What should I do to get the internet through it.

This maybe a dumb point but, I thought with PPP the default gateway (defaultroute) for the remote/connecting machine should be the computer it is connecting to.
