random access to certain sites on certain computers

hi, starting on about wednesday (a little past midnite), i am not able to navigate the youtube addon on my xbmc machine. (sometimes searches will return after about 10 minutes but usually i get 'addon failed' after a few minutes). (edit: the ustv:vod addon worx fine)

i am not able to browse to google/youtube/yahoo on my fone (network connection error) when i am attached to my my wifi router (cisco e1200). but when i go thru my carriers 3-g it worx fine.

i have no problems with those sites from my desktop (cat-5) or my htpc (wifi) using firefox.

is there some weird routing rule filtering embedded requests to those sites ?

the router is connected to cable internet in case it matters.
i have tried unplugging/replugging my router and cable internet receiver.

so i plugged my xbmc machine directly to my cable internet x-ceiver and i am able to browse the youtube addon.

the cisco router is definitely doing something funky to my google/youtube/yahoo/wikipedia/... traffic from non desktop/laptop browsers.
(for whatever reason duckduckgo/linuxquestions/... work)

now i need to lookup how to do a factory reset on this brand.

router factory restore seems to set everything back to normal (but for how long ?).

what was that ? some sort of virus/malware targeting cisco routers ?
