Id like to know what is the best Linux distro, with GUI interface, that works well with networks, easy to configure, and all that stuff, im trying to set up a webpage for my school, and i cant seem to find a really good networking distro, and i decided to come to linuxquestions for help.
id be really glad if you all could help me
thanx. Jerry
When you say " trying to setup a webpage for my school" Do you mean you just put some information up through an ISP for students to access? Setup an IntrAnet or internal network for students only to exchange information? or Host a webserver and have your own domain name?.
The first can be done with any disto and an ISP... The second could be done internally without any ISP at all. The third requires registrering a domain, finding a host server, or finding an ISP that will allow you to host your own server. most likely a buisiness acct... all requiring money.
So I would suggest first, identifiy exacly what you are looking for. Then you can find a distro that can fit your needs easier
