Questions about ifcfg-eth0 file

In /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0, what's the difference between specifying HWADDR and MACADDR?

Also, what's the difference between specifying IPADDR and SRCADDR?

Finally, what's PEERDNS for? I read that it's set to a default of yes when DHCP is used, but that means that the /etc/resolv.conf is set to the values of DNS{1,2} - but isn't the whole point of DHCP to not have to specify these here but rather in the dhcpd.conf files? I'm confused as to the interplay between the PEERDNS and DNS{1,2} elements - when both are set, when neither are set, and when one but not the other is set...

Perhaps somebody knowledgeable on this file could clarify.

Thanks.

Thank you for that document, which upon reading was actually the reason behind my questions because I'm confused on their explanations of those configuration elements...
