Question about network toplogy

Hi all this is my first post in linux questions, anyway I have a problem that i need some help about..
In the company i am working for we have UTM security gateway V7.304 and proxy server and my boss says that we must use both of them although i told him that we can only depend on the UTM as security server and HTTP proxy.

Ok my question is how to configure the proxy server and UTM gateway to connect to each other and configuring the client side too (default gateway i mean).

Thanks,

Do you not have support through the device manufacturer?

An ISA server is a Windows server. That part isn't a Linux question.

Were both used in your former location? If so why can't you just change your old configuration settings to your new WAN side changes.

My guess is that the the ISA servers role is to control the LAN users while the Astero UTM's role is to protect the LAN from the wild and woolly Internet. The ISA server may also be subscribed to a commercial antivirus service and do a better job of detecting Windows viruses in email, and might integrate better in an AD environment. It may be more of a LAN device in this sense, and the first gateway for Web and e-mail traffic, while the Astaro has a more flexible firewall. The ISA would probably be located on the edge of the LAN, while the Astaro is exposed to the Internet and maybe controlling access to the DMZ if you have internet facing servers.

Thank you for that information, yes i have a DMZ network but in that way you are describing that the UTM is connected directly to the internet what i mean that what is the gateway of the proxy is it the router or the Astaro UTM gateway.

About ISA server i am just speaking about the concept of proxy server either ISA or SQUID server.
