Question about /etc/access file
I am trying to set up sendmail on one of my machines, and I have so far been pretty successful. However, there is something I haven't yet figured out (and I may just totally misunderstand SSL, but I'll ask anyway). I want my users to authenticate using a username and password over SSL, but I don't want to have to give them a certificate with which to authenticate. In other words, I don't want them to have to authenticate with me using my certificate authority. I only want my email server to authenticate itself using the certificate and the CA. I want them to simply use a username and password over SSL
How do I make this happen? I'm assuming it's some kind of entry in /etc/access. Thanks in advance for the help! |
